Money Smart Week

Went to a Money Smart Week event in Gary, Indiana. It had spotty attendance but I got some great ideas from the event because they had free lunch, raffles after each workshop that kept folks there until the end. Alpha Kappa Alpha's Asthma Awareness Initiative

Project I'm excited about: Alpha Kappa Alpha is launching its Asthma Management and Prevention Initiative on October 20 in Tampa. Asthma CAN BE MANAGED and our battalion of passionate members will fan out to nearly 1000 chapters worldwide to spread the word on how the nearly 6 million asthmatic children under age 15 can lead productive sports, have fun. We're working with subsidiaries of National Institutes of Health so we have high props behind it. It'll be one of AKA's programmatic focuses for the next four years under new international president and attorney Carolyn House Stewart.
